Crittenton Announces New CEO

Douglas Yost, new Crittenton CEO

For the last nine months, Crittenton Services for Children and Families of Orange County was led by our Interim CEO Sil Orlando. Sil provided outstanding leadership, stability and care during this time of transition, preparing the agency for our new CEO and for that we are incredibly grateful.

On March 25, 2024, we welcomed a new CEO, Douglas Yost. Douglas has over 13 years of experience in leadership, is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, who is currently completing his Ph.D in Organizational Leadership. Douglas has served as a Senior Vice President of Therapeutic Programs overseeing multiple therapeutic programs within two non-profit organizations. He has owned a private psychotherapy practice, has been an Associate Director of Clinical Services and an adjunct professor at a university.

Since assuming the position of CEO, Douglas has been actively engaging with staff; visiting our various offices to connect with our teams, meeting with stakeholders, community leaders and supporters. Douglas is committed to Crittenton’s distinguished history of providing excellent, trauma informed, compassionate care to the children, young adults and families we serve. Douglas is also focused on continuing to ensure that our staff feels supported and is well equipped with the best and most current skillsets to care for those we serve; along with working to bring new, innovative mental and behavioral health programs to Crittenton. He understands how improving the lives of others help to not only improve the client’s life, but the community as whole.

Douglas leadership philosophies are Servant and Transformational Leadership. Per Douglas, “it is important that we create a team that is unified, with all driving in the same direction so we can provide care, changing the lives of the children we work with.”

The Crittenton Services for Children and Families Board of Directors, along with the Crittenton Team is excited to have Douglas leading the agency into the next phase of providing outstanding, quality, trauma informed, mental and behavioral health services to those in need.
