Crittenton’s 2013 Community for Kids Golf Tournament
Each year, like clockwork, Crittenton Services for Children and Families (CSCF) hosts the Community for Kids Golf Tournament and Winner Dinner benefitting children and families in need. The charity fundraiser was held at the Yorba Linda Country Club in Yorba Linda, Calif. on September 16, 2013, and once again the event location did not disappoint.
This annual golf tournament helps support the services and programs CSCF implements throughout Southern California. The charity fundraiser helps continue a more than 45-year history of successful treatment and recovery for those in crisis at any given time.
“The Community for Kids Golf Tournament and Winner Dinner are chances for our friends to have fun, socialize, and improve the lives of some very vulnerable children,” said Marilyn Salzman, Director of Development, CSCF, and added, “It is all for fun, and even better, it leads to real help for the children we serve.”
At this year’s golf tournament a helicopter dropped hundreds of golf balls on the driving range as the newest attraction to an already fun-filled agenda. The helicopter drop is just another way for supportive golfers and donors to get another opportunity to win big.
The event brings out a good mix of golfers and those that support good causes as the golf tournament has a well organized schedule, an auction, raffle, live music, a casual dinner, and of course great golfing for individual players and mixed foursomes.
