Fullerton, Calif – Each year Crittenton Services for Children and Families (CSCF) conducts a holiday gift drive known as The Angel Tree Program that collects new in-kind donations from October to early December.
For 16 years the Angel Tree Program has been collecting toys, stocking stuffers, gift cards, and basic necessities on behalf of the children and families Crittenton serves.
Last year alone individual donors, community partners, and corporate sponsors provided holiday gifts for roughly 900 children and their families placed in CSCF Residential Services, Youth Shelter, Wraparound, Community Based, and Foster Care Programs.
“The gift you have given is really not something that can be unwrapped and held in the hand. The pretty paper on the outside cannot hold the brilliance of the real gift that you have given a young person in need,” said Pat Williams, Angel Tree Program Coordinator and CSCF Volunteer, “It is essential in our lives that we matter to someone. Thank you for showing our youth that they do. We wish you all a beautiful and peaceful 2014.”
It is through the generosity of those who contribute to the annual Angel Tree Program that allows CSCF to meet the demonstrated need of the youth in our care during the holiday season.
The Angel Tree Program also serves as an opportunity for anyone to connect with CSCF clients in a meaningful way, and to help us continue our mission of healing the wounds of trauma, neglect and abuse.
Feeling extra generous this year? If so, why not participate in Crittenton’s Angel Tree Program! CSCF youth have been assisted by their assigned therapist or social worker to create a Santa Wish List. The Angel Tree Program will then try to find donors in the community to make those wishes come true.
This year that donor just might be you!
