Help Crittenton Youth this Holiday Season!
Help Crittenton Youth this Holiday Season!
Each year Crittenton Services for Children and Families (CSCF) conducts a holiday gift drive known as The Angel Tree Program that collects new in-kind donations from October to early December.
Last year alone individual donors, community partners, and corporate sponsors provided holiday gifts for more than 700 children and their families using the services of Crittenton’s Residential Treatment Center, Wraparound Family Services Program, Outpatient Mental Health Services Program, Family Preservation Program, Transitional Age Youth Program, and our Foster Care Program.
“The gift you have given is really not something that can be unwrapped and held in the hand. The pretty paper on the outside cannot hold the brilliance of the real gift that you have given a young person in need,” said Pat Williams, Angel Tree Program Coordinator and Crittenton Volunteer, “It is essential in our lives that we matter to someone. Thank you for showing our youth that they do.”
It is through the generosity of those who contribute to the annual Angel Tree Program that allows Crittenton to meet the needs of our youth during the holiday season.
The Angel Tree Program also serves as an opportunity for anyone to connect with Crittenton clients in a meaningful way, and to help us continue our mission of healing the wounds of trauma, neglect and abuse.
So, if you have some extra time this holiday season why not be a part of creating some some holiday magic for a child. Crittenton youth have been assisted by their assigned therapist or social worker to create a list for Santa. The Angel Tree Program will then try to find donors in the community to make those wishes come true.
Know that 100 percent of all Angel Tree Program donation goes directly to children and their families enrolled in our various programs!
This year that donor just might be you!
Angel Tree Program Needs:
- New and unused holiday gift are needed whose price values range from $3 to $40 maximum (per item and fulfilling multiple “wishes” is always appreciated).
- Please wrap and deliver gifts to Crittenton’s headquarters in Fullerton, CA by December 09, 2016 (to meet our internal delivery schedule).
- Donors interested will need to provide name, address, email, phone number and budget preferences.
- Let us know if you want to donate to a specific program (i.e. our foster care program) and we will make sure to connect you to the person handling those donor requests!
