Planned Giving

Crittenton’s Heritage Society

Beginning with the Charter Members of the class of 2009, the Crittenton Heritage Society is a group of special donors who have chosen to include Crittenton Services for Children and Families in their estate planning, have contributed to the Crittenton Endowment, or included us in other planned giving arrangements.

The generosity of Crittenton’s Heritage Society members enables our children, youth and families to receive the most effective care possible from highly qualified professional staff. In the long-term, The Heritage Society, makes it possible for our mission to ensure the journey of recovery continues for this generation and the next.

Advantages of Planned Giving

Planned giving may provide the donor with a number of financial benefits and distribution options. Some of these benefits may include:

Reduced taxable income

Additional options for estate distribution to heirs

Reduced capital gains taxes on donation of appreciated assets

Donors may restrict use of funds to correspond to their personal preference. For example the funds may:

Be designated to the Crittenton Endowment

Indicate a specific time and/or purpose for use of the funds

Be used when and where needed most

The Crittenton Endowment

This fund is set aside for future needs of the agency that will best benefit the children, youth and families in our care. Donations designated to the endowment become a part of the endowment “corpus” which always remains intact and grows with each donation. Funds drawn from the endowment are only taken from interest earned by the corpus. And donations to the endowment may be made in honor or in memory of individuals or groups.
