3 ways to give back at Christmas that support Crittenton Youth

Each year Crittenton Services conducts a gift drive known as Crittenton’s Angel Tree Program that collects Christmas donations from October to early December.

This year’s gift drive will be a little different in response to COVID19 as we will need to prioritize more digital opportunities that still fulfill angel tree donations and provide other ways to give back at Christmas. However, Crittenton remains hopeful, that we will once again with the help of community partners, corporate sponsors, and generous donors like you help provide Christmas donations and gifts to those we serve. These gifts and donations will directly help more than 500 children, youth, and their families experiencing uncertainty and that live throughout Southern California.

Despite the pandemic, Crittenton is doing everything we can to provide a hopeful holiday season. It is through the generosity of those who contribute to Crittenton’s Angel Tree gift drive that allows us to meet the demonstrated need of those in our care. There are a number of ways to help this year and know that 100 percent of all Crittenton Angel Tree donations go directly to the children and families we serve.

If you are in a position to help and would like to get involved please reach out and thank you for selecting Crittenton as one of your charities to give to at Christmas.

We need all the helpful elves we can get this year. Here are a number of ways you can brighten someone’s holiday:

Donate new toys or daily living necessities:

  • Gift price value range is typically from $5 to $40 per item (fulfilling multiple “wishes or needs” is always appreciated).
  • Donors interested in helping can connect with our team for more information on priority needs and purchase a gift by visiting our online “wish lists”, ship directly to our offices or choose to ship it to yourself, gift wrap item, and then deliver it to our headquarters offices.
  • Gifts from our wish lists will fulfill Christmas donations for families in need, foster youth, system-involved youth, and youth who have aged out or are aging out of foster care.
  • Purchase from our “Amazon Wish List” (make sure to log into your Amazon account to view links).
  • Purchase from our “Checked Twice List”.
  • Visit our Angle Tree 2o20 page to view all of our “virtual” donation options this year!

Gifts need to be shipped directly to or gift wrapped and personally delivered to our headquarters office by Friday, December 4, 2020 (to meet Christmas delivery schedule). If shipping your gifts please use the following address:

Crittenton Services
Attn: Beverly Berryman
801 E. Chapman Ave. #101, Fullerton, CA. 92831

Donate gift cards or funding:

  • Gift card value ranges from $20 to $100.
  • Gift cards are needed from Big Box stores (Wal-Mart, Target, Amazon, Big Lots, 99 Cents, Dollar Tree); Retail stores (Macy’s, Kohls, JC Penny); Grocery stores (Food 4 Less, Ralphs, Vons, Albertson’s, Stater Bros., Smart & Final); Visa or Mastercard gift cards.
  • Donors interested in helping with our gift card drive can connect with our offices to ask about what gift cards are urgently needed and in what value amounts. Gift cards will greatly benefit families in need and foster youth aging out of foster care.
  • Funding is also needed to buy last-minute gift needs. If you prefer to donate funding this year please donate directly to Crittenton’s Holiday Fund by using this donation link.

Gift cards need to be shipped directly to or personally delivered to our headquarters office by Friday, December 18, 2020 (to meet Christmas delivery schedule). If shipping your gift cards please use the following address:

We would like to take this time to thank each and every one of you for not forgetting about Crittenton youth this year. It’s been a tough journey for all of us and on behalf of the most vulnerable children, youth and families we serve Crittenton truly appreciates the continued support. Whether you want to help with angel tree donations or help by referring someone you know that wants to become a foster parent to our foster family agency we thank you for your kindness. Every bit helps.
