Community Quinceañera Sponsorship Opportunities

Community Quinceañera Sponsorship Opportunities

In collaboration with various community organizations and donors, the Muckenthaler Cultural Center, once again is hosting the Annual Community Quinceañera. This year’s event is slated for Wednesday, October 23, 2019 in Fullerton, CA.

This community collaboration brings together the efforts and resources of a number of local businesses and nonprofit organizations in order to provide 25 local Quinceañeras with an evening of glitz, glamour, and a chance to experience their own coming of age celebration.

For the teens participating in our Quinceañera the chance to experience an event such as this one without community support would be unlikely as many of the teens selected are of modest means, are foster youth or are of a similar system-involved background.

“This annual tradition is one of our favorite collaborative efforts of the year. It’s always a joy working with such committed organizations and donors that do everything they can to help empower youth. Our end goal is to make sure that every Quinceañera selected to participate in this annual tradition knows how special they truly are and that they are beautiful inside and out,” said Martha Jasso, Crittenton’s Communications Director.

This event is not open to the public and is of no cost to the selected Quinceañeras and their chosen guests. From hair, make-up, dance classes, etiquette classes, jewelry, the dress and of course dinner at the event all items are gifted to each Quinceañera through our generous sponsors.

A Quinceañera, meaning “one who is fifteen,” is the celebration of a girl’s fifteenth birthday in Latin American cultures with various traditions attached to the celebratory festivities. It marks a girl’s transition from childhood to young womanhood and is the quintessential coming of age milestone celebration.

Our Community Quinceañera may not have all of the traditions one has come to expect of such an event as we customize this event to adapt to the needs and realities of every one of our Quinceañeras. Not every teen has a dependable family to rely on, or the time to attend time-consuming rehearsals. Therefore, we always strive to make this event approachable, fun, supportive and youth-centered.

For those interested in sponsorship opportunities please know that we are still in need of donations to cover the cost of the food. Please connect with our partners at the Muckenthaler Cultural Center if you would like to help.
