Rebecca Epstein, Executive Director, of the Georgetown Law Center on Poverty and Inequality has written an opinion editorial for the December 23, 2014 OC Register edition on turning our new awareness of trafficking into stronger action against it. By addressing girls’ history of trauma and the compounding serial-rape horror of trafficking itself. And the effort to do so must be as multidimensional as the problem itself. Ms. Epstein mentions the Center of Poverty and Inequality’s recent research on this subject matter and highlights the work being done in Orange County, Calif. using Crittenton Services for Children and Families as a model program for treating young victims of sex trafficking.

Crittenton offers behavioral health care, safe shelter, and individualized support to help people in need heal from trauma and reach their full potential.
